Club History

The Tuggeranong Dog Training Club (TDTC) was formed in 1994 in response to a lack of dog training facilities in South Canberra and an increasing number of dog related problems in the Tuggeranong Valley.

Between 1994 and 1999 the club operated from a temporary site in Anketell Street, just opposite Bunnings.

After successfuly negotiations with the ACT Government, TDTC obtained some land on Rowland Rees Crescent, Greenway (just around the corner from its old grounds) and began training on the grounds in 2000.

The club is well established on its new premises and significant improvements have been made to the site (by TDTC) including lighting, a sealed parking area and planting of trees.

Further improvements to the grounds include the construction of a clubhouse, an equipment shed, dog runs, additional parking and further tree and shrub plantings.
